Topic: Gamification, Game Thinking and Learner Engagement
by Karl M. Kapp
Gamification should be thought of as a design sensibility and not merely a digital tool. Additionally, expanding design concepts beyond gamification and into game-thinking provides a rich environment for creating motivating, engaging and interactive learning. While the results of designing instruction around game-thinking and gamification is often fun, the ultimate outcome is increased engagement, retention and application. In this webinar, we'll explore, through a demonstration and a game how game-thinking and gamification can be applied to the design of memorable learning events.
